Bounds born as an exercise in AKV|StJoost: the aim was to make a tribute to David Wilson’s video for the song Do I wanna know by the Arctic Monkeys. The boundaries were that we had to make a 60 seconds movie that had to start and finish with a white line on a black background. Since my personal interest revolves around human relation, I imagined this line as a rope that connected two people, having several different types of interactions. I structured the narration in a way that it could tell the story of a person, but in which all the segments could also be taken singularly.
I wanted the soundtrack to be intimate, not overwhelming with emotion, this is why I went only for some sounds in the background.
The short was shown in Playgrounds Festival 2014.
