MUSEUMS
In the (almost) four years I spent at Shosho, I worked mainly at projects for museums: from storyboarding and styleframing to frame by frame animation, motion graphics and postproduction, ending with occasional art direction, I had the pleasure to work on some beautiful projects.

Here they are.
Historische Museum Frankfurt - Staufer
The Historische Museum Frankfurt got renovated from 2012, with the gran opening happening in 2017. The museum focuses on the history of the city, with plenty of artifacts and interactive installations. I participated with two projects: The first one was a series of animation for an interactive touchscreen about the relation of the old harbour with the city.

Historische Museum Frankfurt - Baustelle
The second project I worked on for the Historische Museum Frankfurt was part of a 360° installation, for which I did art direction. The aim of the video was to evocate the lost past of the city, with a series of buildings that now are no more, surrounded by fog. The assets were prepared by me in Photoshop, then a colleague assembled them and made the camera movements in Unity. Once rendered, they were postproduced by me in After Effects.

Rijkmuseum Boerhaave
Rijksmuseum Boerhaave is a museum in Leiden that focus on science and medicine. In the last years it went through a deep redesign (by the always great Studio Lauter) of its museal path to make it more attractive and interactive. The installation I worked on focused on Water (above) and Electricity (below).

National Museum of Qatar
The National Museum of Qatar was one of our biggest projects in 2018/2019. The installation design we worked on was made by Studio Lauter: I had the pleasure to work on several animation, some small and some bigger.
Above and below, you can find an edit of a series of animation we made for the children archaeological section. For these, I worked from styleframes to storyboard and to the final product.

For the same museum, I made one of my favourite projects: it was part of the Life on the coast installation, a section for kids that explored the life of people on the coast of qatar, in ancient times. The stylesframes and the storyboard was provided, I could just focus on the animation and postproduction.

NEMO - Humania
In 2019 NEMO Science Museum refreshed completely the floor of the permanent exhibition dealing with human beings: Humania. Part of this, was an animation aimed to explain to young people what is puberty and why, even if it's sometimes stressful, we shouldn't be afraid of it. I worked on the project as the sole animator of the bodies, while style, facial expression, and postproduction were done by a colleague.
